Learn how to landscape your home for a changing climate. Create resilient yards and features that can help mitigate the impacts of flood and drought with this in-depth workshop featuring Alberta Low Impact Design Partnership (ALIDP) Executive Director, Leta Van Duin.
Focusing on rain gardens, numerous local examples will be used to help you site, size, design, construct and maintain your own piece of resilient paradise. Alternatives to conventional turf will also be explored.
Participants will be invited to submit their own drawings after the class for one-on-one assistance with rain garden siting and sizing.
Participants will leave this workshop with a good understanding of the importance and function of LID and will have had the opportunity to design their own LID project.
