Our Topic: Benefits of Residential and Community Solar for You
Darryl is trained as a Certified Engineering Technologist, Certified Energy Manager and LEED Accredited Professional. He works as the Energy Coordinator for Edmonton Public Schools, managing the utilities portfolio, seeking efficiencies and advising on the Division solar strategy.
Previously, Darryl lived in Calgary for 25 years where he worked variously as a specialist in solar energy, energy efficiency and electrical product development. He has sat on numerous non-profit boards identifying the challenges of buildings and transportation, and has been known to tinker with electric bicycles, cars and trucks.
He is currently in his second term as the President of Solar Alberta, a society celebrating it’s 30th year!
Darryl will talk to us about the benefits and applications of solar energy for your home, solar energy for community leagues, and even community solar.
We’ll have Darryl for a 45 minute discussion before opening the floor to what we expect to be a robust Q&A.
