Coronation Eco Station temporarily closed

The Coronation Eco Station is now closed (starting March 31) while the facility is being upgraded. The facility is expected to re-open in spring of 2027.

According to the City of Edmonton, planned upgrades include:

  • restructuring traffic flow and site layout;
  • rehabilitating and expanding the existing Eco Station building with mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades;
  • repurposing two existing garages to improve waste sorting;
  • increasing the number of waste drop-off bins;
  • installing solar photovoltaic and energy-efficient systems; and
  • converting the decommissioned rail line at 143 Street and 115 Avenue into an access lane for drop-off bin service trucks.

Residents can alternatively drop off waste at Ambleside, Kennedale and Strathcona Eco Stations during the closure.
