The Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre is anticipated to welcome back members on Tuesday, December 1st. This is a tentative date but we wanted to provide you with an appropriate time frame.
Key operational milestones include:
- Power Restoration & Mechanical Work: Electrical power has been restored to the Aquatic Centre, enabling our team to service the basement pumping equipment and mechanical systems.
- Water & Chemistry Prep: Once final construction items are wrapped up, staff will proceed with filling the pool basin and balancing water chemistry to meet Alberta Health Services standards.
- Staff Readiness: Facility onboarding and operational preparation are underway to ensure a seamless experience for our late November target.
Second Cup Opening
In conjunction with the pool reopening, Second Cup is scheduled to open its new location within the Coronation Park Sports & Recreation Centre in late November. Construction on the space is complete, and the Second Cup team is finalizing inventory orders while onboarding and training their new team members.
