From the P&T Committee:
- Unfortunately, Westmount Mall will be losing another restaurant: Smitty’s, a long time neighbourhood favourite, will be shutting its doors on March 1, 2025. Our hope is that Westmount Mall will bring in retail and eateries that we can continue to support in our neighbourhood.
- The Coronation Park and Sports Rec Centre (Velodrome) and Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Centre (Swimming Pool) are scheduled to open in 2026! It has remained on completion timeline and on budget!
From the Casino Committee:
Casino volunteers are needed June 10 and 11, 2025. Casinos provide us with critical funding for ongoing upkeep and maintenance of our community hall. No experience needed. Details will follow in another post but in the meantime please contact Neil Lang at [email protected] to put your name on the list and grab the best shifts.
