The North Glenora Community League board will elect new members at our AGM on March 7th and we are looking for a few key positions and more! Read on to find a role you would be interested in!
Our President chairs monthly board meetings, supports effective decision making, and ensures that the board conducts itself in accordance with our mission, policies, and bylaws. The incoming President will be supported by an experienced Vice President and Past President.
Our Secretary is responsible for board correspondence and for maintaining the league’s records, the majority of which are organized online. They also ensure that the leagues documents (such as our meeting minutes, operations manual, bylaws, and annual society filing) are accurate and updated as needed.
Our Treasurer is responsible for overseeing league finances, giving regular profit/loss updates, and advising the board on financial matters. They lead the budget committee to produce an annual budget in January each year. This role is supported by our office manager, who handles league payables and receivables.
NEW THIS YEAR!
Directors at large sit on the board, but don’t have a specific portfolio of responsibilities. They participate in board meetings, provide input on key decisions, and contribute expertise or guidance on matters relevant to the League’s mission and objectives.
