Looking for something to do this weekend?

Check out the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium Grand Opening, located in Coronation Park in the community of Woodcroft behind the Telus World of Science. 13500 112 Ave NW.

The Queen Elizabeth Planetarium (QEP) became Canada’s first public planetarium in 1960 and was closed in 1983. But now it’s back!

During the weekend of September 29, you can receive a free tour of this restored Municipal Heritage Resource. Check out historical photos and artifacts in the lobby, visit the planetarium dome for a view of the night sky, see how the planetarium was built, get a complimentary QEP sticker*, and celebrate the return of an icon.

Friday, September 29: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 30: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 1: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
