Line Dry July: A social challenge to rethink our laundry practices.

If you attended our Spring Fair and met Rachel McQueen at the Clothing Repair Clinic, you’ll be interested in this new initiative from her:

Can you go without using your tumble dryer for the entire month of July? Why not try? Take part in the challenge to reduce your household’s energy consumption, reduce microfibre release and prolong the life of your clothing by only using a clothesline or drying rack to dry your laundry in July. This is a sustainability initiative from the Department of Human Ecology to help Canadians rethink their laundry practices.
