The magic of Deep Freeze Festival is casting a spell on winter this January 21 and 22, 2023! Step into the Alberta Avenue District for the Deep Freeze enchanted forest, where looms a mystical creature, vivid blooms, bright-hued mushrooms, and woodland animals—all hand sculpted by our world-renowned ice, balloon, and lantern artists.
Deep Freeze Festival is proud to continue celebrating Ukrainian, French Canadian, Franco African, Indigenous (Métis, Inuit, Cree), Latin American and Asian cultures, which are all deeply woven into the fabric of Alberta Avenue District. As you wander through our enchanted forest, discover artistic creations, a homestead village, and musical celebrations that warm your heart and palette with music, art, and tasty delights. Take a trek through Pipon Village by trying on a pair of snow shoes, and sit around an open fire for bannock, tea, and cultural teachings. When you’re ready for a break from the great outdoors, follow the jovial sounds of a Ukrainian dance troupe to our Hearth Stage in the Alberta Avenue Community League. Join us on 118 Avenue (90-95 Streets)!
