Community Day is coming September 19 and this year we are looking to change things up to incorporate many of the great events that the community runs on a regular basis into one super fun-filled day.
Starting at 2:00pm we will be running lots of family focused events. Bouncy castles will be set up for the kids by the playground, drop-in soccer and road hockey will be played by the rink shack. North Glenora Park will be available for anyone who wants to bring their favourite outdoor game to pit their skills against others in the neighbourhood.
There will be popcorn available and community group info booths set up so that you can learn about the many different activities and services that call North Glenora home.
The Edmonton Public Library will be performing a puppet show from 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
Then at 5:00 pm we’ll move indoors for a community potluck. Tickets will be $5 per person or $10 per family with roast beef and turkey on the menu. Our ask is that everyone contributes side dishes or desserts to make this a feast for the ages!
Tickets are available from:
Jason and Sarah at [email protected]
Carolyn at [email protected]
Barbara U at [email protected]
After dinner we will be running Pub Night (bring a board game!) for the adults in the main part of the hall and for the kids or those young at heart Movie Night where we will be showing Ice Age: Continental Drift in the playschool room.
Volunteers Needed!
We’re looking for volunteers to help with the Community Day event this year. If you can lend a hand with by running a soccer or road hockey game, handing out equipment, monitoring the bouncy castles, bartending at pub night, setting up the tables and chairs for the potluck, or anything else please contact Jason or Sarah at [email protected]
