The Stan Daniels Metis Manor has been in North Glenora as a senior complex. With the completion of the Renaissance Tower in the Quarters east of downtown, many of the Stan Daniels Metis Manor residents moved in, leaving the Metis Manor ready for redevelopment. The Metis Capital Housing Corporation (MCHC) is proposing to use this building as the new facility for its Family Reunification Program.
MCHC held its first information session with the North Glenora Community League on March 19, 2014. A second was held on October 15, 2014. After the first meeting, the community league solicited questions from residents which were then forwarded to the MCHC for response. A small working group of North Glenora residents have met with representatives of MCHC on a number of occasions since the first meeting to facilitate communication between the North Glenora community and MCHC. Please give any feedback you have on the proposed project to firstname.lastname@example.org.
