Prevent vandalism – we need your help!

Dear neighbours: we wanted to let you know that there have been multiple incidents of vandalism around the hall during the past few months.

MAY: The porta-potty located at the rink shack has been targeted multiple times and has been damaged. The first incidents took place in May when the porta-potty was lit on fire. We were unable to determine who caused this fire. The new community sign on 107 Avenue was also vandalized by an unknown person.

JUNE: The new North Glenora Blues Lacrosse memorial plaque was vandalized. We were unable to determine who was responsible.

SEPTEMBER: The third porta-potty incident was in the first week of September. The board was informed that children from our own community were responsible for the damage as they attempted to tip it over. They were then seen returning to residences by Coronation School.

As a resident of the community and a board member for the NGCL it is extremely disappointing to see people vandalizing our community. If our residents see any such actions in progress please call the Edmonton Police Service non- emergency line at 780-423-4567.

Please also get in contact with me and inform me of the incident. Take pictures, take video! Get descriptions of individuals causing damage to our community. The more evidence we have of people vandalizing our community the better. This helps us not only provide evidence to the police,  it may also help us identify who is doing this.

Thank you, Lionel Pereira, NGCL Safety Director, [email protected]
