The next North Glenora Open Mic will feature the band Years of Service as the opening act.
Years of Service was formed in 2020 as a family pandemic project. Jack (then 11) started learning drums and Declan (then 13) started learning bass. And Kelly, the proud Papa (then 51) taught them songs to play. It was a wonderful way to endure isolation and do things as a family. They played their first show in April of 2023 to a couple of hundred supportive attendees. They have recently moved from covers to originals and Years of Service continues to have fun playing music.
The stage will then open up to anyone who wants to share music, poetry or storytelling talents. Everyone is welcome to perform or to enjoy the show as audience members! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase (cash, debit, and credit cards accepted)
