Coronation School Garden Project-Call for Volunteers

Dear Neighbours,

The Sustainability Committee of the North Glenora Community League (NGCL), in partnership with the Coronation School Parent Council and Coronation School has embarked on a project to restore the native garden and create naturalization areas in the schoolyard to enhance the learning goals for students.

We are putting out a call out for volunteers to help with cataloguing plants, weeding and pruning on the weekend of Oct 15 and 16, 2022.

Please email Abbas, a member of the Sustainability Committee, at [email protected] if you are available to help with any of the tasks below for the project:

– Cataloging of plants, including native plants

– Pulling out weeds by hand

– Pruning shrubs and trees

– Gathering up yard waste for disposal

– Provide a truck for a dump/ Eco-station run

We will have the first meeting with volunteers on Saturday, Oct 15, at 10 am in front of Coronation School (10925 139 St NW,), West entrance to discuss the tasks to be done.

We look forward to hearing from you.
